Geometry - Semester 1

Geometry is a branch of mathematics that uses logic and formal thinking to establish relationships among points, lines, angles, plane figures, and solids, and to define their properties. In Geometry, Semester A, you will explore foundations of geometry, coordinate geometry, and rigid and non-rigid transformations of figures in the coordinate plane, using them to establish congruence and similarity of polygons. You will investigate and prove theorems about lines, angles, triangles, parallelograms, and other polygons and build geometric constructions using both basic tools and technology.
