AP Calculus AB - Semesters 1 & 2

2 Semesters: Semester 1 is offered in the fall and semester 2 is offered in the spring.


Students in this course will walk in the footsteps of Newton and Leibnitz. The course includes a study of including limits, continuity, differentiation, integration, differential equations, the applications of derivatives and integrals, parametric and polar equations, and infinite sequences and series.


An Advanced Placement (AP) course in calculus consists of a full high school year of work that is comparable to calculus courses in colleges and universities. It is expected that students who take an AP course in calculus will seek college credit, college placement, or both, from institutions of higher learning.


Suggested Prerequisites:  Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus or Trigonometry/Analytical Geometry.
