Registration Guide 


Welcome to CDLS! This page will provide all of the information you need to register and approve students.
Walk-through videos are provided below, or you can download instructions (pdf).

  • Districts/Schools will be invoiced for enrollments following the drop date after registration is closed. The drop date during fall is October 2nd and the drop date in spring is February 5th, 2021. Drops made after this date will be assessed the full course fee.  

  • Beginning with the 2020-21 school year CDLS will only accept payments from districts, BOCES, and charter schools for student registrations.  If course costs are not covered by the school/district, parents will have to make payment arrangements through their school or district.

How to Register

If a student did not take a CDLS course during the most recent semester, they are considered a new student.

New Student

Complete the online registration form (link to form is only posted when registration is open). You may complete the registration form for the student, or the student can fill out the form. A valid, active email address is required for each student.

  • Upon submission, the student will receive an email confirming the submission. The enrollment is pending until you accept the student and approve the course request.

  • Once you approve the course request, the student will receive a confirmation email letting them know they have been approved and are ready to go. They will receive a separate email containing their login credentials.


Follow this process for each new student.

Returning Student

If a student has taken a CDLS course before, or they already have a CDLS account, they are considered a returning student.
